Lutheran Cursillo of Southern California

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing."
John 15:5

Welcome to our website!

The goal of the Cursillo movement is that Christ be the prime influence in society. So it is said that the primary objectives of the Cursillo Movement are to develop in adult Christians a consciousness of their ability and mission to become leaders in the work of Christian renewal, and to sustain them as they provide a Christian leaven in civic, social and economic life.

This "Christianizing of Environments" is what the Cursillo Movement is about. A special goal of Lutheran Cursillo of Southern California is: the revitalization and support of the Lutheran Church and its Ministries to society.

Where? When? Who?

Lutheran Cursillo of Southern California holds a pair of men's and women's weekends three times a year, typically in February, July and October.  Weekends are held at St. Joseph's Salesian Youth Renewal Center in Rosemead, CA. (Click HERE for a map and directions).

To attend a Cursillo weekend, you must be a baptized member in good standing of a Lutheran church and be able to participate the full three days (Thursday evening through Sunday evening).
